Barbara Ferreria BA (Hons), Psych Adv

Barbara Ferreria is a newly appointed local Director of i-coach academy in South Africa. She has 30 years experience in the financial services industry in South Africa and has held senior leadership positions at Old Mutual for the past nine years. Barbara is an experienced programme manager with Prince2 practitioner accreditation. At Old Mutual she was responsible for fulfilling a strategy implementation role for one of their major divisions. Barbara also has an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Johannesburg and a Masters Degree in Coaching from i-coach academy and Middlesex University (UK).

Barbara’s coaching focus is on leadership development and she has worked with all levels of leadership including first time leaders, middle management and executive management. Barbara has also concluded a coaching assignment with BP in Angola where she coached a first time leader, middle management and an executive. Barbara is passionate about leveraging diversity within leadership teams and has coached on BEE programmes at Old Mutual as well as doing pro bono work for leadership at an NGO working in the counselling and counsellor training sector in the Western Cape. Barbara’s Masters research project focused on the enhancement of authentic leadership practice leading to increased leadership effectiveness. Barbara also offers consulting services regarding change management for projects where, with her own coach, she has developed a methodology supporting Prince2 project management methodology and framework.
