Ronel Vermeulen

Ronél Vermeulen is the Founder and Managing Director of Sawa Bona Sikhona Consulting (PTY) Ltd T/A payITforward. Ronel believes in “creating opportunity for choice” through offering management consulting services, personal transformation coaching and work creation projects.

Ronél is an experienced coach and organisation development consultant with more than 17 years experience in the corporate world. Ronél has extensive experience and training in group consultation, change management, systems thinking, group facilitation, strategy formulation and translation and climate and culture diagnosis. Her purpose for coaching is to provide time, space and method for highly effective individuals to explore areas of PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION in support of ongoing change (organisational/personal life) that is significant for the individual and the different people that the individual interacts, relates and connects with. Ronél has focused her work in the corporate context on organisational and individual development, coaching and consulting to both executive teams and individual executives within the financial services market. The focus of her coaching is to deliver improved leadership and culture transformation in organisations. Her strengths lie in supporting leaders to identify behavioural patterns that impact on their effectiveness. She helps executives translate strategy into business goals and ultimately into results. Ronél was one of five coaches that worked on enabling integration of project teams through group coaching to achieve their goals in the Barclays, Absa acquisition in South Africa.

Ronél is a Faculty Member of i-coach academy where she plays the role of tutor and supervisor to the first year certificate students. She is also part of faculty’s assessment panel. She lectures on USB-ED’s Management/Leadership Development Programmes with a specific focus on the manager/leader as Coach and to assist learners on the programme how to learn and receive coaching. She holds membership with COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa) and is currently the Chairperson responsible for membership in the Gauteng Provincial Chapter of COMENSA, SECOB (Southern Ekurhuleni Chamber of Business) and the PBF (Progressive Business Forum).

Some of Ronel’s clients include Fisha Wellness and DLA (Identifying stressors in the workplace and developing strategies to address it); Absa Bank; Standard Bank; Sasol; i-coach academy(BP Angola); The National Council for the Blind (Strategy Alignment and Performance Management); and USB-ED.

Ronél has studied Education, Psychology and Sociology at Goudstad College of Education, RAU and UNISA. She is currently in the process of submitting her thesis to attain her MA in Professional Development (Coaching) through i-coach academy and Middlesex University, UK.
