The i-coach academy advantage
Experience
Our senior consultants and associates have actively worked in the field for 30 years and are specialists in assessment, supervision, adult learning, executive development, leadership, coaching and mentoring. Our consultants have worked with a wide variety of organisations on a range of coaching related projects and are familiar with diverse cultures, organisational change and other critical ‘people and organisation’ issues. All are practicing coaches in addition to their contributions as consultants and faculty and all actively participate in supervision and continued professional development to enhance their coaching practice. Our consulting in the development of coaching practice is built on our experience of designing and delivering multiple organisational interventions and academically accredited programmes in coaching on three continents and our research into the development of professional coaching practice.
Network
We have a global community of coaches, consultants and faculty all experienced coaches as well as experts in their field. Our community actively work in organisations and are aware of current organisational and environmental challenges.
Philosophy
We don’t believe there is one way to coach and celebrate that diversity. We believe that if we embrace the rigor and responsibility of developing professional coaching practice and articulate our individual approach to clients, clients will be empowered to choose an approach which more effectively meets their needs and will result in coaching that makes a difference. We are committed to enabling practitioners to become creators and critical users of knowledge and we seek to recognise and link the critical thinking of academia with the real-world issues confronting the coaching profession and to help clients play a unique role in implementing change and developing innovative approaches to create sustainable solutions to complex issues in the profession. We support continuous learning and are committed to ongoing professional development and supervision for our coaching practices.
Partnership
Our model of working is collaborative and we aim to ensure the programmes we develop are relevant and appropriate for the client’s requirements. We facilitate “skills transfer” to ensure the programme and processes can run effectively within the organisation once the initial input from the consultants has passed.
Research
Through our student and graduate community (230+), significant masters and doctorate level research focused on coaching is being undertaken. Our academic partners with Middlesex University, International Centre for the Study of Coaching, Professional Development Foundation, African Centre for Learning and Coaching, University of Stellenbosch and USB-ED to ensure that we remain at the forefront of best practice for the field
Academic accreditation
We have academic partners who work with us to ensure the standards of our programmes have a quality and consistency that meets the academic rigor of post-graduate programmes across the world.
